The 2018-19 wrestling season officially got under way for area teams as Marshfield hosted Logan-Rogersville and Reeds Spring in a dual on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
The Bluejay grapplers came away from the night besting both guest teams, first going 60-21 against the Reeds Spring Wolves, and then outpacing the Rogersville Wildcats 48-27 to cap off the night of competition. The Wildcats, then, came out ahead of the Wolves, having earlier gone 57-21 in matches against Reeds Spring’s athletes.
Marshfield head coach Matt Holt said of the season’s opening contests, “I could not have been more proud of our effort and heart Tuesday night.”
